Soak in the Florida sun and feel the sand between your toes as you enjoy a fit girls weekend getaway in awe-inspiring Amelia Island on north Florida’s Atlantic Coast.
You’ll be welcomed to the ZOOMA weekend with a Fitness Expo at the host hotel and encouraged to take in the oceanfront sunset as you drink a cocktail (or mocktail, whatever your preference) at a happy hour sponsored by The Ritz-Carlton Spa before your pre-race meal on Friday evening. On Saturday morning, awaken early to run a flat and scenic half marathon, 12K or 5K. After you cross the finish line, celebrate your accomplishment with friends at an awesome after-party expo on the oceanfront lawn at The Ritz-Carlton. Enjoy your adrenaline and wine-fueled buzz with live music, massages, shopping, recovery yoga, and lots of empowering girls weekend energy.

ZOOMA Florida will treat you to an exciting and pampering fit girls weekend at The Ritz-Carlton in beautiful Amelia Island on north Florida’s Atlantic Coast. Enjoy a fitness expo and welcome cocktail (or mocktail) on Friday evening and run a scenic and flat half marathon, 12K or 5K on Saturday morning. After the finish line, celebrate with your girlfriends at the celebratory ZOOMA After-Party Expo featuring wine, live music, massages, recovery yoga, shopping, and lots of girls’ weekend energy.
The ZOOMA Florida half marathon and 12K is a flat, scenic, point-to-point course starting in quaint downtown Fernandina Beach. The half marathon course winds under the shady live oaks of Fort Clinch State Park before traveling the beach road south toward The Ritz-Carlton. The 5K is a beach run, starting and finishing on the beach behind The Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Half marathon, 12K and 5K athletes finish on the beach and walk into a fun post-race party at the host resort. (Note: the last .2 miles of the half marathon and 12K courses are on the beach, so be prepared to finish in the sand.)

Mailed Packet Option: You can choose to have your packet mailed to you for $20 during the week before the race. Mailed packets will include a race shirt, bib number, reusable goodie bag, safety pins and a coupon to pick up your SWAG items on race day. The half marathon and 12K race is point-to-point, starting in downtown Fernandina Beach and finishing on the beach in front of The Ritz-Carlton.
Half Marathon + 12K Race Transportation for Hotel Guests: Leave your car at the hotel and take a shuttle to the start line on race morning. Shuttles will leave from the front of the hotel at 7:00 a.m. sharp.
Half Marathon + 12K Race Parking for All Others: Park at Nassau County School Board Lot, 1201 Atlantic Ave, Fernandina Beach, FL, and walk to the start line on Centre Street. After the race, shuttles will leave from The Ritz-Carlton to return you to your car. Shuttles will run continuously from 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
5K Race + Finish Line Spectators Parking: Park at the Peter’s Point Beachfront Park and make the short walk on the beach to the finish line, located in front of The Ritz-Carlton. Please note that the Peter’s Point Beachfront Park lot will be closed from 9:00-10:30 a.m. to accommodate runners finishing the race. Please plan your departure accordingly.
All race finishers will receive an exclusive ZOOMA commemorative medal! The half marathon medal pictured below includes a removable starfish charm that be used on a necklace or bracelet. (2015 medal shown)

Course Time Limit
There is a 3.5 hour course limit to complete both the half marathon and the 12K.
